Cobb Schools Foundation Honors Jay Cunningham
Superior Plumbing owner Jay Cunningham was recognized along with five others as an honoree at the 2013 Leaders and Legends Ball on Saturday presented by the Cobb County Schools Foundation.
This event featured a silent and a live auction as well as live music throughout the night with a special appearance from Phillip “Pip” Arnold, a previous contestant on NBC’s hit show The Voice and a graduate of Kennesaw Mountain High School.
Following dinner, each honoree was recognized for their significant contributions to Cobb County Schools. Cunningham was honored specifically for establishing construction classes at North Cobb High School, his alma mater. Through his company, he has also been able to give back to the Cobb County School District by donating iPads for special needs classrooms.
“Jay has truly made North Cobb High School and the Cobb County School District is a better place to get an education,” North Cobb High School principal Phillip Page said in a quote that was read during Cunningham’s introduction.
