Oak Grove Elementary School Fine Arts Academy recently presented a Veterans Day Program to recognize, celebrate and remember the sacrifices of the nation's veterans.
The patriotic festivities included a display of student artwork, a performance by the school’s third- and fourth-graders, a performance by the E.T. Booth Middle School Chorus and Band, and a video featuring images of veterans from the school community.
Each veteran in attendance was recognized, and they all received a standing ovation from the school’s student body, faculty and staff.
“Our veterans are true superheroes, not the kind who need masks and capes, but patriots who relied on their courage to keep us free," Principal Les Conley said.
