The Golden Soldiers Joins in Georgia's Inaugural Statewide Day of Giving
The Golden Soldiers is excited to participate in Georgia Gives Day this Thursday, December 6, 2012. The purpose of Georgia Gives Day is to bring the state together as one community, to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Georgia nonprofits within a 24-hour, flash mob of giving. The initiative, which was officially declared Georgia Gives Day by Gov. Deal, provides citizens across the state with an easy platform to recognize nonprofits across a variety of sectors for their invaluable efforts. Inspired by other successful days of giving in states such as Washington, Colorado and Minnesota, GCN developed its own effort to promote community awareness and the mission of nonprofits that serve as the backbone for many communities across the state.
“Nonprofits touch nearly every part of our lives. We are very excited to give Georgians an opportunity to truly recognize the nonprofit organizations in their community and give where they live,” said Karen Beavor, President and CEO of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits.
”It is great to be part of Georgia’s Inaugural Day of Giving. I am honored to be a native of Georgia and love seeing my state making an official day to give back to the organizations who have so graciously given to others. The Golden Soldiers, would love your support and encourages everyone to support all the organizations which have impacted your life,” said Lindsey Turner, President and Founder of The Golden Soldiers.
