The City of Acworth municipal elections are going on today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Roberts School at 4861 School St. Bob Weatherford (incumbent) and Brett North are the candidates for Alderman Post 3.

A special election referendum is on the ballot for qualified voters to determine whether to allow Sunday package sales of alcohol (malt beverages, wine and distilled spirits) by retailers within the city limits of Acworth.

It'll be interesting to see the results this year! I'd be shocked if Sunday alcohol sales don't get passed.
