The City of Acworth hosted the Love the Lake Parade Saturday on Main Street in downtown Acworth.
This year’s theme was Go for the Gold: Celebrating the Olympics, and local businesses, schools and civic groups got a chance to show off their specialty vehicles, mascots, or floats to compete for prizes.
The parade kicked off the two-day Love the Lake Festival over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Try touching base with the Acworth Parks & Recreation Department (http://www.acworth.org/acworthga/acworth-parks-and-recreation-department). They coordinate various festivals and events in town and will be able to provide you information on registration. Good luck!
