Today is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 54 and calm wind between 5 and 10 mph. There's a 40 percent chance of showers tonight, according to the National Weather Service. Temperature will drop to a low around 43.
Happening
- While schools and government offices are closed Monday for the MLK holiday, the Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program will making this a day on instead of a day off by participating in a nationwide day of service. Volunteers will be walking the local neighborhood to clean up debris and trash 11 a.m.-1 p.m. around The Roberts School at 4681 School St.
- City offices are closed today in observance of the holiday. Sanitation pick-up will resume Tuesday.
- Cobb County government offices, schools and libraries are also closed.
