• While schools and government offices are closed Monday for the MLK holiday, the Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program will making this a day on instead of a day off by participating in a nationwide day of service. Volunteers will be walking the local neighborhood to clean up debris and trash 11 a.m.-1 p.m. around The Roberts School at 4681 School St.

• City offices are closed today in observance of the holiday. Sanitation pick-up will resume Tuesday.

• Cobb County government offices, schools and libraries are also closed.
