Cobb Fire and Emergency Services has an ongoing partnership with the Georgia Chapter of the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund. The Fund has identified a number of departments in the Northeast that suffered the loss of equipment during Hurricane Sandy. One of those departments is located in West Hamilton Beach, NY. This department sustained the loss of their fire engine and currently does not have an operating truck to respond to calls for fire service delivery.
The Cobb engine is a 1992 Pierce Arrow Red Pumper (Engine 34, Vehicle No. 3406) with 177,292 miles. The donation will take place at 11 a.m. Feb. 6 at fire headquarters, 1595 County Services Pkwy., Marietta.
