Sunny skies and breezy weather made this weekend a great time to come out and clean up the shorelines of Lake Allatoona and Lake Acworth. The 26th Annual Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup took place Saturday at Cauble Park in Acworth and the Riverside Day Camp Area in Cartersville.
It was a pleasure for me to be part of this community effort along with Patch's regional editor Michael Jacobs, Holly Springs-Hickory Flat editor Jessie Gable and Dallas-Hiram editor Jon Gargis. For our Patch team as well as the hundreds of community members who participated in the lake cleanup, it was certainly a rewarding experience and a great way to spend the weekend.
