A Cartersville man died after being in a car accident just before midnight Tuesday on Cobb Parkway in Acworth.

According to the Cobb County Police Department, 41-year-old Brandon Meadors of Cartersville was driving on the wrong side of the road, traveling southbound in the northbound lanes on Cobb Parkway in his 2003 Chevrolet S-10.

Meadors' truck collided with a maroon 2009 BMW 335i traveling northbound in the same lane around 11:45 p.m. just north of the Dallas Acworth Highway intersection.

Both drivers were transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

Michael Wilson of Acworth, the 24-year-old BMW driver, suffered non-life threatening injuries, but Meadors died as a result of his injuries sustained from the crash.
