Get Out: Love the Lake, Railroad Safety

Here are some ideas for weekend fun.

Expect highs in the 90s all weekend, says the National Weather Service. There are slight chances of rain Saturday and Sunday, so it may be a good idea to take an umbrella when you go out. Who knows, you may be going to one of these family-friendly weekend events.

1. Love the Lake Festival

Why Go: Need to send summer off in style? Come enjoy a parade, arts and crafts, great music and a personal watercraft demonstration.

Pricing: Free.

2. Working Safety on the Railroad

Where/When: Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. Great Lake Allatoona Clean Up Registration
