This was such a successful 4th of July event! Pretty impressive that many people came out after all that pouring rain.

I have been to every Independence Day concert in Acworth since the first one in 1999. Around 800 folks listened to "Band in a Box" who set up in the smallest pavilion in Cauble Park. For the next couple of years, we borrowed a portable stage from Allatoona Charities and the crowds grow to over 10,000. The fireworks display has always been the best in the county. In 2002, we contracted with a band from South Carolina called "Flashback" and they have been performing on the 4th of July ever since. Also in 2002, we started recognizing our veterans and bringing them forward to be honored. Last year was the only year that we couldn't do it because of the weather. The Acworth Business Associated; the City of Acworth (especially Parks & Rec; Police and Power); the Georgia State Defense Force; our sponsors and the community have made this event the premier concert venue in the region.
