Officials to Break Ground on Acworth Senior Care Facility

The Dogwood Forest of Acworth Assisted Living and Memory Care community is slated to open in spring 2014.

City officials Friday will break ground on a 3-story, 93-unit senior care community.

The Dogwood Forest of Acworth Assisted Living and Memory Care community will feature theatre rooms, on-site salons, technology centers, two bistros, winding walking paths accented with gardens and cascading water features and two dedicated memory care neighborhoods for both early and advanced stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Dogwood Forest has other locations in Alpharetta, Buckhead, Dunwoody, Eagles Landing, Fayetteville, Gainesville, Marietta and North Point.

Slated to open in spring 2014, Dogwood Forest of Acworth is expected to add 60 jobs in Acworth.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the construction site, which is at the corner of 4491 South Main St.
