After a successful start in 2012, the Acworth Art Fest is returning for a second year to the city's historic downtown.

Last year, a crowd of about 40,000 celebrated Acworth's first large-scale art fest, organizer Frances Schube said.

Organizers anticipate greater success at this year's art fest, scheduled for April 13 and 14. About 100 artists from around the country are expected to showcase their paintings, pottery, metalwork, folk art, glass, jewelry, yard art and more along Main Street.

Additionally, there will be activities for the kids and food from some of Acworth's most popular restaurants.

"We have added a new food court which we're calling the "Fun, Fabulous Food Fair," Schube said.
