A soldier salutes the flag during a welcome home ceremony for troops arriving from Afghanistan on June 15, 2011 to Fort Carson, Colorado.
My great grandfather served in the headquarters company of the 57th Field Artillery (part of the 32nd division) in France and Germany during World War One.

Did you or a loved one serve our country?

If so, there have got to be some good photos and videos to show it. So, dig through that old shoebox; find that file folder or scroll way down on your profile pictures — they’re bound to be somewhere.

Are you a tough sergeant major? Surely, someone in basic training took your picture looking stunning with standard-issue glasses.

Patch wants to see your photos and videos, as well as hear your story. Is there a photo showing you serving the veteran community? We want to see that too.

Simply upload your photos clicking the “Submit Your Photos” button above the main image. Make sure to add a caption telling us about veteran and tell us that service member's story. You can also embed a YouTube video by pasting a link.

This is my first attempt at downloading to Patch. I hope I did it right. I am sending a picture of my husband, Paul Talmadge Parger who serve in Germany in the Occupational Forces with the 18th Infantry Division, in the early 1950s.

Hi Helen, thanks so much for sharing the photo. We cannot edit comments posted by our users, but I can add a caption to the photo you uploaded with the correct spelling. Would that be okay?
