The Cobb Alcohol Taskforce is conducting a community survey to help identify effective strategies to reduce underage and youth binge drinking.
More than 2,000 participants from Acworth, Austell, Kennesaw, Marietta, Powder Springs, Smyrna and unincorporated Cobb County are needed by Sept. 30. A similar survey was previously conducted in 2009 as a requirement of the Sober Truth On Preventing Underage Drinking (STOP) Grant.

We never do our best teaching when we are in a discipline situation. Formative instruction - communicating/teaching must take place apart from the occasions of discipline from children since childhood and throughout the entire' growing.

It's so important that you teach your child not only knowing what's the right thing to do, but also be comfortable making such decision when there's negative peer pressure and bad influences. When they know they are actually the cool kids by doing the right thing, they will less likely be forced into social drinking/smoking in order to fit in a group.

The REAL popular and cool kids don't need to get drunk or smoke weed in order to fit in, and they bring a positive impact on others.

The key to let a child/teen say "NO" to those peer pressure and bad influences (drinking/smoking...) is that the child/teen is never afraid of ignoring from those because he/she has been feeling his/her parent's love in his/her deep heart as well as he/she knows what is right or wrong.

When will you people take the time to check out the Chevron on the corner of Jim Ownes and Cobb Parkway. Time and time again I have seen sales to those under 21 years of age and no one seems to want to step in and stop it. More goes on there then I will be posting here but all I ask the task force to do is check the place out and they will find out what I have been talking about.
