Acworth Patch wants to treat you to a night of music, dance and high energy.
We are giving away two tickets to the musical Blast! at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. The performance, which has its roots in drum corps competition, includes brass, percussion and visual ensembles.
Entering this contest is easy. All you need to do is post a comment at the bottom of this article to let us know how long you’ve been reading Acworth Patch and what you like about the site. No need to write a novel. A sentence or two will do.
We’ll conduct a random drawing from those entries for the Blast! performances on Jan. 19 and 20. Winners will be notified by e-mail and can pick up their tickets at Will Call the day of the show. Winners will need to have photo ID to claim the tickets. For more details about the show, or for information about discounted student tickets, check out the website for the Cobb Energy Centre.
One last detail: You must get your entry in by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

I've been reading the Acworth Patch since I discovered the Canton Patch where I work, sometime last year. I love it! I love being able to read all of the local happenings about my neighborhood all in one place, and without having to dig around on too many sources. :)

I'm new to this site and was referred by a friend, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Acworth Patch has to offer. I just signed up for the email invites. :) I love the array of different stories you guys offer that could appeal to non-Acworth residents.

I discovered Patch approximately a year ago, when I had the privilege of meeting Angela Chao at the Acworth Police Department's first night of the 11th Session of the Citizens Police Academy.
I totally love the Patch Websites because I can follow not only my area, but other areas where my family lives and find out what is happening.

There is so much history in and around Acworth. Mars Hill community, settled in 1831 was the hub of the community until Northcutt Station (now Acworth) was established a few years later. As a direct decendant one of those settler families I witnessed the dramatic change from a sleepy little town to a "dining destination" with a "quality of life" emphasis.
