Win Tickets to 'Young Frankenstein'
Acworth Patch is giving away a pair of tickets to the Mel Brooks musical.
If you love monsters and musicals, then Acworth Patch has the perfect contest for you.
We're giving away a pair of tickets to the opening night of Young Frankenstein at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
The show is based on the Oscar-nominated film by Mel Brooks, who created a humorous and twisted adaptation of the Mary Shelley classic. Film buffs may remember musical numbers such as “The Transylvania Mania,” “He Vas My Boyfriend” and a monstrous take on Irving Berlin’s “Puttin’ On the Ritz.”
Entering this contest is easy. All you need to do is post a comment at the bottom of this article to tell us about your favorite Mel Brooks film. Or share a comment about your favorite musical of all time.
We’ll conduct a random drawing from those entries for the Thursday night performance.
Winners will be notified by email and can pick up their tickets at Will Call the day of the show. Winners will need to have photo ID to claim the tickets.
One last detail: To qualify for the drawing, you must get your comment posted by 11:59 a.m. Wednesday, March 28.
For more details about Young Frankenstein, visit the website for the Gas South Broadway Series or the show's site.

Space balls was the best movie Brooks ever did. "May the Scwartz be with you". The best musical of all times I ever seen was The Lion King. That show gave me chill bumps! Second place to that would have been My Fair Lady with Richard Chamberlain back in the early 1990's at the Fox.

Many great Mel movies but Young Frankenstein is right at the top of my list. I still quote lines from that movie & it was over 30 years ago. It was the equal to "Monty Python & The Holy Grail" & that is saying something.

I love Mel Brooks movies! My favorite would be a tie between Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. Second place would be a tie between Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
