Domino's Pizza stores throughout the metro area are looking for a few good men and women. Owning the second largest Domino's franchise in the U.S., Cowabunga Inc. has 91 stores in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina and they need to hire hundreds of new employees just in the metro Atlanta area, including Acworth. The latest inspections by Cobb Public Health include visits to Blu Greek Taverna, Donny's Home Cooking, Shillings On The Square, Stilesboro Biscuits, Taqueria Morelos and more.
Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from a best possible score of 100. A sample inspection form is attached. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70.

Revenue Management Consulting and RGIS Inventory will be at the Cobb-Cherokee Career Center this week.
Two companies will be at the Cobb-Cherokee Career Center near Acworth this week to recruit workers. From 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Revenue Management Consulting will conduct pre-screenings and interviews for an opening at the company that requires a high school diploma and at least six months of call center or customer service experience. Revenue Management is looking for someone to receive payments and prepare statements to the credit department if customers do not respond. The position pays $8.50 to $10 an hour plus commission. The next day, RGIS Inventory will interview candidates for its travel team. The company needs someone to take inventory for various clients. The successful candidate will have three to four overnight stays per week…

The NCAA’s recent “Bulletin on Field Markings, Uniforms, etc.” expressly prohibits “social media designations such as URL’s and hashtags” (Hashtags are words or phrases that are preceded by the # symbol that can be used online to group messages together or to rally support for a common cause, such as for a favorite team.). The rule means that while you may see your fellow fans using Twitter and other social media platforms while at the game, you won’t see “#SicemDawgs” between the hedges at Sanford Stadium or “#GaTech” on Historic Grant Field in Bobby Dodd Stadium. Former catalogue giant Sears is coming to a town near you, Acworth. The Sears Hometown Store at 206 Nelson Street in the Cartersville Plaza is set to open May 9, owner Steve Allebone of Marietta told Patch. It's one of more than 900 Sears Hometown Stores across the country, which are locally owned and operated, and carry all of the top 10 home appliance brands, according to searshometownstores.com.
