Bryson Dickman has medullary cystic kidney disease.

Thirteen children with chronic or terminal illnesses have been selected to go on an all-expenses paid trip to Walt Disney World, and one of the recipients is from Acworth.

Bryson Dickman, an 11-year-old with medullary cystic kidney disease, will have first-class accommodations during the five-day trip, which begins Feb. 21.

There will be a limo ride to the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Atlanta Airport, a send-off party and a private-chartered flight from Atlanta to Orlando.

“It’s our dream to help them leave these challenges behind, make lifelong memories with their families and create togetherness and a network of support for the future,” said Q100 Atlanta radio host Bert Weiss, the namesake of Bert’s Big Adventure, the Atlanta non-profit that is sending Dickman and his family to Florida.

Dickman said he looks forward to riding in the limousine and meeting his favorite Disney celebrity, Gabe from Good Luck Charlie.
