Acworth Memorial Day Service

Residents are invited to attend Saturday's Memorial Day service at Patriots Point.

The will hold a Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday at . Patriots Point is the home of Acworth's Veterans Memorial, honoring the men and women who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The ceremony includes the Laying of a Wreath by Mayor Tommy Allegood, comments from keynote speaker Dr. Ike Reighard, and the Presentation of Colors, a Gun Salute and Taps by members of VFW Post 5408. The event will last approximately 45 minutes, and is a great opportunity for citizens to reflect on the cost of our freedom.

You can honor a veteran by purchasing a paver to be placed at the Patriots Point. The pavers are available in 4x4 or 8x8 sizes, with characters engraved on them.
