The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour is a day of water-sports action, but not all of the action takes place on water.

On land, fans will experience tons of great food and music; athlete autograph signings; chances to win free giveaways; and shopping at the most cutting-edge stores for water-sports equipment. This includes boats, wakeboards, wake skates, sunglasses and the latest in wakeboarding and surfing fashions. This family oriented event will provide a fun filled day of sun, surf and excitement for all who attend.

To purchase tickets in advance, visit www.prowakeboardtour.com. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day of the event at Dallas Landing Park: $13.00 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages 6-12, and ages 5 and under are admitted free.

Parking will be available at Dallas Landing, but it is limited. Shuttles will be provided from Downtown Acworth. For more information on the event, contact the Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department at 770-917-1234 or visit www.prowakeboardtour.com.

The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour began with a handful of dedicated wakeboarders traveling to various cities performing wake tricks behind the MasterCraft 190, and later the MasterCraft Maristar. The Pro Tour quickly evolved into more of a skate park style competition, adding various pieces of floating apparatus to perform rail-based tricks and jumps.

Looking to up the ante with a larger and more powerful wake, the Pro Tour began using the MasterCraft X-Star, which eventually led to the first 1080 landed in a contest.

The Pro Tour now qualifies roughly 80 athletes annually, within three divisions (Pro Men, Pro Women and Jr. Pro Men) throughout the five-stop season.
