Cedarcrest Church Opens New Worship Center

More than 2,500 people attended grand opening events this weekend.

For members of Cedarcrest Church, Easter weekend held special meaning beyond the significance of the holiday as they celebrated the grand opening of their new facility.

The 29,000-square foot church includes a 550-seat worship center, a café, two children’s worship rooms, a separate building for student worship services and classes and 14 classrooms.

Brasfield & Gorrie began construction in March 2012 and completed the house of worship in time for the holiday celebration. Croft & Associates of Kennesaw, Ga., served as the architect of record on the project.

“Brasfield & Gorrie has been privileged to work with Cedarcrest Church to help make their church vision a reality,” said Keith Johnson, a regional vice president with Brasfield & Gorrie. “Our hope is that the new facility is one all members will be excited to attend.”
