Floral Design, Dance & Karate Classes on Tap this Fall
Acworth Parks & Rec announces community classes.
The City of Acworth's Parks and Recreation Department is offering a little something for everyone in its Fall Community Classes. Click on links for more information or to register:
DATE: Thursday, Aug. 15
TIME: 7 to 8:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Roberts School Community Center
COST: $30 residents; $35.00 for non-residents

Participants will create a Fall Festival window box in this class. All materials are included in cost.

AGES: 2.5 to 5
DATES: Tuesdays, Aug. 27 - Dec. 3 (No class Nov. 26)
TIME: 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.
LOCATION: Roberts School Community Center
COST: $110 residents; $115.00 for non-residents; multi-sibling discounts available.
This class is a combination of 20 minutes of tap and 25 minutes of ballet.
AGES: 21 and up
DATES: Aug. 5 - Sept. 30
TIME: Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. or from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.; or Tuesdays from 7:30 8:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Roberts School Community Center
COST: $100 for residents and $105 for non-residents.
Tai Chi, the oldest organized martial art, features slow relaxed movements that improve overall health and well being.
DATES: Mondays and Wednesdays, Aug. 5 - Sept. 30
TIME: 5:30 to 6 p.m., or 6 to 6:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Roberts School Community Center
COST: $75 residents; $80 for a non-residents
Class will be taught by Phil Robinson, a Certified Master Instructor and 7th-degree black belt and his other certified instructors.
AGES: 12 and up
DATES: Wednesdays, Aug. 7 - Sept. 30
TIME: 6:45 to 7:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Roberts School Community Center
COST: $100 for residents; $105 for a non-residents
