Weather Update: Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival Continues

With a 50 percent chance of rain in the forecast on Saturday, the 5th annual Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival will be held at Cauble Park.

Due to the forecasted weather, the concert and fireworks for Friday night have been cancelled. As of Friday afternoon at 6:00 p.m., the events scheduled to take place on Saturday will remain the same. We advise anyone attending the event to stay tuned to this website, follow us on Twitter at @aprd or Like us on Facebook by searching Acworth Parks.  

The North Cobb Rotary Club, City of Acworth, and the Georgia Barbecue Association are proud to announce that the 5th annual Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival presented by Superior Plumbing will be held at Cauble Park on Saturday, May 10. All proceeds will be distributed amongst several local charities, so every come out and help make a difference in your community!

The local band The Mustangs will take the stage on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. for the rescheduled concert. All festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m. There will be another people's choice competition where you get to be the judge, and taste different BBQ entries from all of the participating cook teams! For a small fee, you can taste your way through some of the best BBQ in the Southeast!

Parking will not be available at the park so please park downtown and use the provided shuttles.
