Thursday is St. Patrick's Day, so here are five great places to celebrate with Irish food, spirits and fun.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

  •  in Acworth is having a St. Patrick’s Day party with a live band in the evening and drink and food specials. If you are looking for a restaurant with a good atmosphere, Sidelines is a good place to go. Hours for Thursday are 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
  • in Kennesaw is planning an all-day celebration that includes three live bands with no cover charge. Enjoy the music of Crossville Station, Chameleon and the Kristen Tinsley Band. The Irish pub will have food and drink specials, including $2.95 reubens and $5.95 corned beef and cabbage sandwiches. Paddy's will give away items such as T-shirts. The pub will be open Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
  • is a Cartersville restaurant and bar that offers a classy and comfortable atmosphere and is a casual and affordable place to eat. For St. Paddy’s Day, City Cellar offers food and drink specials, including Irish whiskey and commemorative beer cans. Enjoy live music upstairs and downstairs. Get there early because St. Patrick’s Day is one of City Cellar’s busiest days of the year. Hours for Thursday are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
  • in Kennesaw is a great place if you’re looking for live entertainment this St. Patrick’s Day. Radio station Rock 100.5 will broadcast live from the Irish pub all afternoon. From 5 to 9 p.m., Jimmy Dean will be playing, and Shyanne will perform at 9 p.m. The restaurant will have games, prizes and giveaways throughout the night, and plenty of green beer will be served. The Tilted Kilt will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Fadó Irish Pub and Restaurant in Buckhead makes St. Patrick’s Day a truly all-day affair, opening at 7 a.m. for kegs and eggs. If you arrive before 8 a.m., you can skip the cover charge. The outdoor festival begins at noon with entertainment, food and spirits. Outside the restaurant on Buckhead Avenue, you will hear bagpipers, see Irish dancers, and enjoy live music into the night. Desire, a U2 cover band, will play at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door. After 2 p.m., you must be at least 21 to be in the event area. Festivities will continue until 2:30 a.m.
