Yard Sale to Help Shelter Animals

Here are the things you need to know on Feb. 13.

Weather

A cloudy day is in, with a high near 51. Expect rain and snow tonight, with a low around 34, according to the National Weather Service. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent, and snow accumulation is predicted to be less than a half inch.

Happening

Cobb County Animal Control is participating in an upcoming fundraiser yard sale with 11 other animal rescues and groups. You can drop off items at the shelter at 1060 Al Bishop Drive in Marietta on Saturdays Feb. 18 and 25 between 12-3 p.m.

The shelter cannot accept mattresses, cribs, major appliances, automotive parts, grills, ripped/stained upholstered pieces, building materials, ceiling fans, overhead light fixtures, large televisions, computer equipment, metal desks, office cubicles, swing sets, skis, golf clubs, large old microwaves, or anything broken or that has been recalled.

The yard sale will be held March 2 to 4, March 9 to 11 and March 16 to 18 atΒ  located at 1125 Roberts Blvd. in Kennesaw. The hours are Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
