The Strand's Solid Gold Summer Musical Revue Series Announced

This summer, The Strand will premiere its Solid Gold Summer, a series of musical song and dance revues presented in a brand new format. The Strand’s Solid Gold Summer will feature three different shows that will run on alternating nights over two months, showcasing the best music has to offer through the greatest decades and styles.

Patrons will be free to jump between Men of Motown, Diva!, and Jukebox Giants in whatever order they choose! The Strand’s Solid Gold Summer is perfect for the music lover with a busy summer schedule and an admiration for the killer voices and wild dance moves that The Strand is famous for.

Men of Motown: Soulful voices, warm tones, and cool tunes come back to Marietta for the fourth year of The Strand’s most famous and successful show yet – this year, The Strand celebrates summer with the Men of Motown. Men of Motown will feature hits from the biggest and brightest of the Motown sound such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, and many many more. The Men of Motown will serenade you and make you want to shout for two full months this summer.

Diva!: Talent. Poise. Perfection. The queens of soul, rock, pop, and disco are all paid homage in Diva!, a divine tribute to the most talented women in show business. Patrons can expect to enjoy songs from musical titans so unforgettable that they only needed one name: Tina, Aretha, Cher, Madonna, Gloria, and many more. Hear these women roar (and belt out some wild tunes) for two months this summer in Diva!

Jukebox Giants: Do you miss the good old days of music? Are you tired of dubstep, screamcore, and whatever a skrillex is? Then get ready to doo wop and sha bop to your heart’s content for two full months this summer at The Strand! Jukebox Giants will transport any music lover on a trip back to the golden age of pop music, featuring everyone's favorite hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. The Strand’s biggest show of the summer, Jukebox Giants will feature amazing singers and dancers performing the very best that music has to offer.

Jukebox Giants is a song and dance musical revue that will feature singing and dancing in the style of pop music through the decades.

Dates: Sunday, June 8th @ 3PM; Friday, June 13th @ 8PM; Saturday, June 28th @ 8PM; Sunday, July 7th @ 3PM; Saturday, July 12th @ 8PM; Friday, July 18th @ 3PM; and Sunday, July 27th @ 3PM

The historic Earl Smith Strand Theatre is a multi-use performing arts and events facility.
