AT&T Headed to Cobb to Fill Jobs

The company will recruit wire technicians to install and maintain the U-verse integrated digital television, high-speed Internet and voice services system.

The Georgia Department of Labor will help AT&T fill a number of full-time jobs for wire technicians to work in metro Atlanta. The recruitment will be held Monday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Rd. in Marietta.

The company will be recruiting wire technicians to install and maintain the U-verse integrated digital television, high-speed Internet and voice services system.

Applicants must have the ability to lift and move up to 80 pounds, work a flexible schedule inside and outside on evenings and weekends, complete on-the-job and classroom training, and have a valid state driver’s license. Salaries range from $9 to $15 an hour.

The company will conduct background checks and drug screening tests on selected applicants.
