Cobb Biz Professionals 'J.A.M.' at Event (Video)

The Summer J.A.M. at the Cobb Civic Center connected business professionals with the county's 10 business associations Wednesday night.

About 1,000 business professionals took part in a night of networking, entertainment, food and giveaways Wednesday.

The 2013 Summer J.A.M. (Joint Association Meeting), put on by the Coalition of Cobb County Business Associations and the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, brought together the Chamber and the county's 10 business associations under the roof of the Cobb Civic Center in nearby Marietta.

In addition to the Acworth Business Association, participating organizations included the , Austell Business AssociationWest Cobb Business Association,  East Cobb Business AssociationKennesaw Business AssociationMarietta Business AssociationNortheast Cobb Business AssociationSmyrna Business AssociationSouth Cobb Business Association and the Vinings Business Association.

By the night's end, organizers said the event, now in its third year, had about 950 people pre-register plus an unknown number of walk-in attendees; last year's event drew about 800.
