GDOL and Goodwill to Co-Sponsor Job Expo

The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Cobb-Cherokee Career Center and Goodwill of North Georgia will co-sponsor a career expo Friday, April 19, in Cobb County. The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Goodwill’s Shallowford Conference Center, located at 2401 Shallowford Rd. in Marietta.

The expo will feature a number of employers. Some will be hiring, while others will discuss possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes, a black or blue ink pen, and be prepared to fill out company applications. They are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.

Among those expected to participate in the event are Allied Barton Security Services, Allstate Insurance Company, Blue Star Staffing, Clear Signal Wireless, Comcast Business Services, Factory Direct Remodeling, John Prise’s State Farm Agency, Lowe’s, Mary Kay, McDonald’s, Neocom Solutions, RBD Staffing, Sullivan Group/Qualistaff, and Westin Peachtree Plaza.
