Sex Tapes Handed Over to Court in Waffle House CEO Harassment Case

Sex tapes created by an Acworth woman formerly employed by Waffle House CEO Joe W. Rogers Jr. and depicting him as nude and engaged in sexual acts were turned over to a Cobb County court on Wednesday as ordered by a judge, according to news reports.

The recordings were handed over by the attorneys representing Rogers' former house manager, who is suing him for sexual harassment. The Marietta Daily Journal identified the woman as assistant as Mye Brooke Brindle, 43, of Acworth. Brindle told Atlanta Police in October that Rogers fondled her and forced her to engage in sex acts while she was his employee from 2003 to 2012.

Rogers admits to having a consensual affair with his former housekeeper, but said he did not sexually harass her. He has stated that the claims are attempts to extort millions of dollars from him.

"I did some stupid things," Rogers told WSB on Wednesday outside the courtroom, but explained that he did not commit the crimes of which he is accused.

Brindle's attorneys have refuted the extortion claims, according to CBS News.

Cobb County Senior Superior Court Judge G. Grant Brantley ordered that the sex tapes be turned over to the court to prevent them from being leaked. He ruled that the tapes were created illegally, without Rogers' consent, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Brantley also unsealed written case records that both parties agreed would be kept closed, according to the AJC, since the records had been leaked to the media.

The judge has scheduled a hearing for March 25 to determine how the sealed records became public, according to CBS News.
