Acworth Patch: What's the hardest thing about being a small-business owner in Acworth?

Lovona Brantley: There is nothing hard about it. It’s the perfect place to own a small business. It’s great. There is huge support from the city, from all the people around me, and from my friends. It’s just been wonderful.

Acworth Patch: What's the best thing about your job?

Brantley: I love it. I teach art, and I teach children and adults. I do parties. And there’s nothing else I’d rather do than to play at art.

Acworth Patch: What is the best thing about Acworth?

Brantley: The friendly atmosphere and the support of the city. It’s a thriving, booming place.

Acworth Patch: How long have you lived in Acworth?

Brantley: Two and a half years. I live upstairs in my gallery.

Acworth Patch: Why did you choose to open up your business in Acworth?

Brantley: I moved down from Virginia. The reason why I’m in historic Acworth is because Carol Allegood, the mayor’s wife, showed me this house after I told her what my dream was, and it’s just perfect for what I do.

Acworth Patch: Why did you pick this particular kind of business?

Brantley: That’s all I know. I have been in this business for 15 years in Virginia. I had an art gallery, and I taught there and sold my artwork.

Acworth Patch: What are some of the services you offer that people don't know about?

Brantley: I teach art camp to children. We do birthday parties for kids. We do painting parties for adults and children. If someone wants to have an event here, I rent out my space.

Acworth Patch: Is there anything else you would like to share about your business?

Brantley: We’re growing and expanding, and this is the perfect place to be doing that. I really love what I’m doing and where I’m doing it.
