Spend Spring Break at the Library!

Looking for something fun and free to do during Spring Break? Stop by the library!

Spring Break is almost here! If you're still looking for things to do with your kids next week, the fantastic staff members at the Cobb County Public Library System have planned a few activities that you may be interested in. All of the activities are free and open to everyone, even if you don't have a library card (although if you don't, now is a great time to sign up for one - get details on our website).

The West Cobb Regional Library is hosting their Spring Break Film Festival, held Monday-Thursday of next week. Movies will start at 11:30 am, and kids should bring their snacks, pillows, and friends, of course! We'll be watching movies like "Tangled" and "Puss in Boots." You can find a full listing and more details on our calendar.

The will also have their regular School Age Story Time on Wednesday at 3:30 pm. This program is offered most weeks during the year (with a few exceptions, like holidays and special breaks). Stop by and check it out next week, but be prepared - your kids will have so much fun, they might want to go back every week!

The Kennesaw Library will have their popular Adventures in Art workshop on Thursday, April 5 at 3:30. Your kids can learn about new art techniques and make a project to take home. Be sure to call the library for more information and to pre-register your artist! You can reach the staff at (770) 528-2529.

The library system has over 75 different events planned during Spring Break. Take a look at our calendar - we're sure you'll find something that's right for your family!

While you're at the library, be sure to stock up on books and movies to keep everyone occupied. If you need help finding the right book for your kids, ask a library staff member! They're specially-trained to help you find the perfect one.

One last note: all branches of the library system will be closed on Friday, April 6 in honor of the Good Friday holiday, but we'll be back to regular operating hours on Saturday, April 7.
