5 Things: ABA Monthly Luncheon

Here are the things you need to know before starting the day on Sept. 22.

3. Happening. The Acworth Business Association (ABA) is holding its monthly luncheon today at at 3413 Blue Springs Rd. from 11:30 a.m. Joe Brywczynski, WellStar senior vice president and Health Parks adminstrator, will be the guest speaker. Cost is $15 for ABA members, and $20 for non-members.

5. What about Sept. 22. On Sept. 22, 1792, the French Republic was proclaimed. On this day in 1862, President Abraham Lincoln issued the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, proposing to free all slaves of rebel states by Jan. 1, 1863.Β
