5 Things: Acworth Achievers Send Books to New Orleans

Here are the things you need to know before starting your day on June 28.

: Georgia State Patrol officials identified the man believed to be involved in a police chase that began in Bartow County. They say Anthony Todd Cleveland, 24, of Acworth, later died at Kennestone Hospital.

Acworth Achievers Assist New Orleans with Epic Book Drive: The Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program and DoSomething.org teamed up and recently sent more than 100 books to New Orleans, LA to help restock the city’s public school libraries that were affected by Hurricane Katrina. The middle and high school students participating in Acworth Achievers contributed to the Epic Book Drive, by sorting through hundreds of donated books before sending the accepted selection.
