5 Things: Fireworks Rescheduled to August

Here are the things you need to know before starting your day on July 15.

1. Weather. Showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon, with partly sunny skies throughout the day and a high temp near 83 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Wind is between 5 and 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast again for early evening. Mostly cloudy skies are in for tonight with a low around 71.

3. Happening. The Fourth of July fireworks canceled due to inclement weather have been rescheduled to Friday, Aug. 19. Enjoy a free night of music at the beach followed by a 23 minute firework display over Lake Acworth at Cauble Park. The Paul Hand Band will take the stage at 6:30 p.m., followed by Sons of Sailors' performance at 8 p.m. Fireworks will start at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Tables can be purchased online through Aug. 10 or at the through Aug. 15. Tables are $50 each for City of Acworth residents and $60 for non residents. With the table you get six chairs and one parking pass (Click here to purchase a table). On the evening of the concert, parking at Cauble Park is by pass only. General public parking is available downtown and free shuttle service will be available to pick you up at the parking lot, the post office parking lot and the .Β
