5 Things: Motorcylcle Ride Benefits Special Needs

Here are the things you need to know before starting the day on June 17.

1. Weather. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day, with mostly sunny skies and a high temp near 93 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Calm wind is between 5 and 10 mph. Going into tonight, showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast, with mostly cloudy skies and a low temp around 69 degrees.

3. Happening. First Annual Ride to the Horizon: A motorcylcle ride benefiting "Covering the Bases" fundraiser for the special needs Horizon Field will take place on Saturday, June 18. Check in and line up start at 8:30 a.m. Ride will begin at Freedom Power Sports at 3102 Cobb Pkwy in Kennesaw, and end at Horizon Special Need Field at 4000 S. Main St in Acworth.
