5 Things: Possible Thunderstorms, Business Luncheon

Here are the things you need to know before starting your day on June 23.

1. Weather. We're getting a little relief from the heat today with a high temp near 88 degrees. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with partly sunny skies and calm wind becoming west between 5 and 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. Going into tonight, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with mostly cloudy skies and a low temp around 68 degrees.

3. Happening. Acworth Business Association (ABA) will be holding its monthly Business Meeting Luncheon today at . Vaughn Williams, athletic director at Kennesaw State University, is the speaker. The cost is $15 for ABA members, and $20 for non-members. Lagniappe starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by networking from 11:10 a.m. , and luncheon from 11:45 a.m.
