5 Things: Summer Sports Camp Series

Here are the things you need to know before heading out the door on June 8.

1 Weather. Today will be mostly sunny, with a high temp near 93 degrees and calm wind around 5 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Temperature will drop to a low around 65 degrees tonight, with mostly clear skies and south wind around 5 mph.

3. Happening. The 2011 Summer Sport Camp series will start soon, with Speed and Agility Camp for ages 7-16 kicking off on June 27 from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at Logan Farm Park. The Little Kids Football Camp, ages 4-7, will be held July 26-28, from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m, and Big Kids Football Camp, ages 8-14, will be held July 25-29, from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, July 16, Acworth Parks and Recreation will host a one-day Cheerleading Camp. There will also be a baseball camp at the Acworth Sports Complex for ages 6-13 July 11-13 from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. Registration has already begun and you can claim your spot by clicking here to register.
