5 Things: Tai Chi Classes Available

Here are the things you need to know before heading out the door on May 31.

Community Honors Fallen Soldier: A local family had a bittersweet visit Saturday to Acworth’s Patriots Point at , home of the Veterans Memorial. They were there to accept a brick paver from the city of Acworth to remember and honor their son, Jacob Dennis, a 2005 graduate of who died in the war in Afghanistan in July.

3. Happening. Acworth Parks and Recreation is offering Tai Chi classes for adults. Beginner classes are Tuesdays 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Beginner & Intermediate classes are held on Mondays from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Advanced are Mondays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $100 for City of Acworth residents inside the city limits and $105 for non-residents.
