5 Things: Weekend Filled with Music

Here are the things you need to know before starting your day on July 8.

1. Weather. Showers and thunderstorms likely this afternoon, with partly sunny skies throughout the day and a high near 92 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Calm wind is between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Temperature will drop to a low around 71 degrees tonight, with a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

2. In case you missed it. : This particular July weekend will be a hot one, to nobody's surprise. Expect temperatures in the low to mid 90s with the chance of some rain here and there. 3. Happening. The next is on Saturday, July 9 at . The opening act will take the stage at 5:30 p.m., followed by another performance at 6:45 p.m. The event will last until 8:30 p.m. Bring your family, friends and chairs or blankets and enjoy great Bluegrass music, good food, friendly folks and lots of fun.
