Acworth Football and Cheerleading Association Offers Discount Registration

Here are the things you need to know before heading out the door on April 14.

1. Weather. Sunny skies are in for today, with a high temp around 79 degrees and light wind between 5 to 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy early evening and then becoming mostly cloudy. Temperature will drop to a low of 53 degrees, with southeast winds up to 10 mph.

2. In case you missed it. Allatoona Spring Musical: The Music Man: A proposal to build stadium seating at is among the agenda items awaiting the Cobb County Board of Education during its work session this morning at the school district's central office in Marietta.

The stadium project would cost $400,000, which would come from the Allatoona Buccaneer Touchdown Club Inc. and local school cell tower funds.

3. Happening now. News from the : The Acworth Football and Cheerleading Association, Inc. (AFCA) provides competitive and instructional football and cheerleading opportunities for children between the ages of five and 12.

Register prior to May 31 and take advantage of significant early registration discounts to participate. Register for $150 as a City of Acworth resident or for $170 as a non-city resident. These are the lowest rates around! You can register online or there will be two onsite registration dates to take advantage of the discount on Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Halbrooks Field.
