Acworth Patch Celebrates First Anniversary

Dec. 16 is a special day for Acworth Patch. A year ago today, Acworth Patch officially launched. Whether you've been with us as a reader since the very beginning, or just discovered our site, we are thankful to have you in our Patch family!

I've had the honor of serving as your editor for the past 12 months. I want to thank everyone of you who have supported our Patch team along the way, and helped us build this fair and accountable platform to inform, connect and engage the community. I'd also like to thank our team of freelance reporters, contributors and columnists for their hard work, and our Local Voices bloggers for sharing their expertise and stories.

A year ago, not many of you have heard of Patch, and the first question everyone asked was: "What is Patch?" Well, we still get that question from time to time, but I've also had numerous encounterings with many of you who would shout from across the street: "It's "THE" Patch! Love you guys!" And by the way, I love when people call us "THE" Patch—it makes us feel special!

But more so than that, we're here in this community because we want to make life easier for residents by providing this hub of information and a new kind of platform for human connections. If you think we've made your life easier in some way, then we are doing something right! And we strive to improve each day with your help and input. Don't forget that this is YOUR Patch, and it is our hope that this Patch grows with the Acworth community.
