Eater Bunny Is Coming to Town

Here are the things you need to know before heading out the door April 15.

1. Weather. Today is expected to be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service. The high temperature is around 75 degrees, with southeast winds 10 to 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Rain is expected to continue into Friday night, with a low temp around 58 degrees and south winds between 10 and 15 mph. The chance of precipitation Friday night is 70 percent. Wet weather is in the forecast for Saturday as well, but sunny skies are expected for Sunday.

3. Happening now. The Easter Bunny will be bringing 20,000 eggs filled with candy and toys to the Acworth Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt this year. The egg hunt will be held Saturday at the Acworth Sports Complex, 4000 S. Main St., for children under the age of 12. The children will be divided into four age groups. Within each age group there will be "Prize Eggs" that can be redeemed for great prizes.

There will also be a Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt on the Horizon Field. This hunt will begin at 10 a.m. and is for children under the age of 12 with special needs. For more information on the Easter Egg Hunt, contact Jeff Chase at jchase@acworth.org or the .
