Update: Kellogg Creek Road Reopens After Single-Vehicle Accident

The driver of the vehicle has been arrested.

Kellogg Creek Road has reopened.

A 21-year-old Cartersville woman was arrested this morning in connection with a single-vehicle accident in Acworth that caused power lines to fall across Kellogg Creek Road.

About 1 a.m. today, a vehicle left the roadway and struck a telephone pole on Kellogg Creek Road near Hill Lane, Lt. Jay Baker, the spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, said. Shana Lenoir was behind the wheel of the vehicle, Baker said.

"Currently Kellogg Creek Road is still shut down in both directions as Cobb EMC repairs the pole and power lines," he said.

Lenoir was arrested on the scene on charges that include driving under the influence and weaving over roadway. She is in custody at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center in lieu of a $2,200 bond.
