Section of Kellogg Creek Road Shut Down Due to Fallen Power Lines
There is a detour available around the closed-off section, but it is advisable to avoid the area entirely.
Downed power lines have caused the closure of Kellogg Creek Road at Hill Lane, say authorities.
According to a message sent out by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office at 5:45 a.m., work to remove the power lines from the road and restore traffic to the area would take several hours.
The sheriff's office is rerouting traffic at Old Alabama Road, but requests motorists stay away from the area completely if at all possible.
