Spring Tree and Shrub Seminar, Men Reach North Pole, First Modern Olympics

Here are the things you need to know before heading out the door on April 6.

1. Weather. Widespread frost is expected before 9 a.m. with the rest of the day being sunny, according to the National Weather Service.  High temperature is near 72 degrees, with calm wind between 5 and 10 mph. Going into tonight, temperature will drop to 43 degrees with clear skies and south wind around 5 mph.

3. Happening now. The Acworth Tree Commission and the City of Acworth would like to invite the public to join the Spring Tree and Shrub Seminar held on Tuesday, April 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the City Hall. The seminar will focus on how to choose, maintain, and plant trees and shrubs. It will be led by John Hatfield, professor in the Horiculture Department at . The seminar is free to the public.
