Sunny Skies, Upcoming Halloween Carnival

Here are the things you need to know before starting the day on Sept. 28.

1. Weather. Sunny skies are in today with a high near 83, wind between 5 and 10 mph, and gust as high as 15 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 57.

2. In case you missed it. : A 24-hour fundraiser to support special needs children and young adults took place at the Horizon Field in Acworth over the weekend.

3. Happening. Join the  on Saturday, October 22 at  from 4–8 p.m. for the annual Halloween Carnival. There will be 15 carnival games and inflatables for children. Carnival game tickets can be purchased for $3. This ticket is good for 10 carnival games or turns on the inflatables. Tickets can be purchased throughout the event. There will be hayrides and costume contests as well. Non-profit vendors will be on site selling food and drinks.
