Third Annual Acworth Turkey Chase
Here are the things you need to know before starting the day on Nov. 10.
1. Weather. Sunny skies are in for today, with a high near 55 and wind between 5 to 10 mph increasing to between 15 and 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Tonight is expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 31.
2. In case you missed it. : Almost all Atlanta-area localities that had it on the ballot approved Sunday package sales of alcohol.
3. Happening. Registration has begun for the Third Annual Turkey Chase 5K Fun Run and 2K Walk. The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 19 on Main Street in historic Downtown Acworth. The 5K will start at 9 a.m., the 2K Walk at 9:15 a.m. and the "Little Pilgrim" Trot will take place at 10 a.m.
