Warrant: Girl Raped at Pitner Elementary

The 2012-13 school year had not started at the time of the alleged incident.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Norcross man who allegedly raped an underage girl last summer at an Acworth elementary school.

Between 9 p.m. Aug. 6 and 2 a.m. Aug. 7, David Christopher Roberts allegedly picked up the juvenile near her residence and drove her to Pitner Elementary School, according to an arrest warrant that was issued July 8.

"The victim stated that she hit and struggled with the accused but was unable to stop the assault," police said.

The 2012-13 school year had not started at the time of the alleged incident. The warrant does not specify where on the school grounds the alleged rape occurred. It also does not specify the girl's age.

Officials with the Cobb County Police Department and the Cobb County School District could not be reached for comment.

Roberts faces charges that include rape, enticing a child and child molestation.
